I don’t care how many times my cardiologist tells me PVCs are benign, they still terrify me. It’s hard to believe that anything that feels so uncomfortable, especially when it comes to your heart, can be considered totally harmless. I’ve done a 30 day Holter, echo, stress test and countless EKGs so I know for sure my heart is healthy, but that doesn’t mean the anxiety associated with them has totally gone away. It’s also no fun to be told to just live with it and try not to pay any attention to them.
The first day I tried this I noticed a nice calm sensation sort of wash over me about an hour after taking the first dose. I did some research online and it sounds like magnesium and taurine can be fantastic for relaxation purposes. I also noticed my heart became less sensitive to position changes (standing up, rolling over in bed etc.), which usually elicit a PVC or two.
After 10 days now I am cautiously optimistic that these premature ventricular contractions are becoming a thing of the past. I’m sure my old school cardiologist would have never recommended trying this, but the almost complete reduction in my symptoms is undeniable and fantastic. I’ll be interested to hear his reaction at my next follow up. I highly recommend this for anyone else who has PVCs.
